INTER-SCHOOL URDU ELOCUTION REPORT 2009-2010
BVS Parsi High School
is one of the oldest schools of Karachi. It builds self confidence
among the students and helps them to express their love for their
National Language Urdu by organizing the Urdu Elocution for Grade X.
The Managing Committee,
the faculty, incharges and the students feel proud to announce that
BVS Parsi High School organized the Inter-School Urdu Elocution for
the first time, which is one of the events celebrated for the 150
Years Celebration of the school.
10 schools participated
in this competition. This programme was organized to honour Doctor
Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Allama Iqbal was a
great poet and his poems dealt with themes such as integrity,
devotion and commitment towards Islam. He was well-versed in
philosophy, both eastern and western. He created love in the heart
of the people of the Sub-Continent for Urdu language through his
poetic words.

COMPETITION:
The competition started
at 9:00 a.m. and was held on 12 January, 2010.
The Virbaijeeite who
participated, recited the famous poem of Iqbal i.e. Shikwah and
Jawab-e-Shikwah.
After the competition
judges and the Principal was called upon the stage by the master of
the ceremony.
Principal then
introduced the judges i.e. Mr. Seher Ansari and Ms. Roohi Tayyabi.
She thanked them for giving their precious time for the judgment of
such a good competition.

FOR
SCHOOL SHIELD COMPETITON:
Shield and the first
position was taken by Syed Intesar Hussain of Quaid-e-Azam House
followed by Moaz Ahmed of Lancelot House, And the 3rd
position was shared between Kamran Raza and M. Owais of Quaid-e-Azam
and Lancelot House respectively.
HOUSE POINTS:
Quaid-e- Azam took
first position with 12 points and Lancelot took second position with
5 points.
CONCLUSION:
The programme ended
with a group photo of the winners.
