As we
all know our school organizes the Urdu Elocution every year, in
order to build confidence and love for National Language among the
children.
Once
again the school maintained its tradition by organizing Primary Urdu
Elocution on 5th October, 2009.
TIME:
The
programme started at 8:00 a.m.
JUDGES:
Ms.
Nasreen
Akhter and
Ms.
Sarwat Qasim
both of
St.
Joseph Convent School
were the judges of the competition.
CATEGORIES:
Primary
Urdu Elocution was categorized into 3 groups i.e.
Group
A: Comprising of class 1’s and 2’s
Group
B: Comprising of class 3’s and 4’s and
Group
C: Includes students of class 5, 8 boys of this category competed
for

MASTER OF
THE CEREMONY
Ayaz
Arshad was the
master of the Primary Urdu Elocution
COMPETITION:
The
competition started after the recitation of Holy Quran. The Quranic
verses were recited by Syed Intisar Hussain of Class X B.
After that the competition began. The students recited their poems
with great enthusiasm and confidence.
VOTE OF
THANKS BY THE PRINCIPAL:
After
the competition when the results were finalized the Principal of our
school Mrs. Parakh was requested by the Master of the
ceremony Ayaz Arshad to come on to the stage and give her “vote
of thanks”. The Principal thanked the judges and Ms. Naseha
Zaib (Cordinator of Urdu and Islamiat Department), Sir Mohsin
and all the Urdu teachers who worked hard to prepare the students.
Present Student Council was appreciated by the Principal for
organizing the Urdu Elocution and maintaining discipline throughout
the competition.
JUDGES
REMARK:
Both
the judges appreciated the preparation of the students and remarked
“It was very difficult to judge as the boys were fully
prepared, they expressed their poems through facial expression, tone
of voice and were very confident”.
RESULT:-
Results
were then announced by the Principal
In
Group A: First position was taken by Abdullah Zulfiqar of
Soparivala House, Second position was achieved by Azeem Haider
of Soparivala House, followed by Raamish again of Soparivala
House.
In
Group B: Tipu Sultan of Quaid-e-Azam House took first
position. In second position there was a tie between Bhupen
Pervaiz of Soparivala House and Haris Rehman of Rezashah
House. Third position was taken by M. Haziq Kapadia of
Soparivala House.
In
Group C: Faran Sheikh of Quaid-e-Azam House took the third
position. Muhammad Bilal of Lancelot House took Second
position and Naoroji Ratanji Wadia Shield was shared by
Farjad-ur-Rehman and Aoun Hussain of Lancelot and
Quaid-e-Azam House respectively.
APPRECIATION OF PARTICIPATION:
Every
participant was given a certificate of appreciation.

SESSION:
Photos
were taken of the boys who took the position and then a combined
photo of the prize winners with the judges and Principal was taken.
HOUSE
POINTS:
Quaid-e-Azam House
took first position with
17
points, followed by
Soparivala
House
with
15
points. The third was
Lancelot
House with
13
points followed by
Rezashah
House with
3
points.
