The Primary
English Elocution took place on 10th September, 2009. It
was hosted by Mohammad Adil Siddiqui, the English Society Secretary
and judged by the senior teachers of the Primary Section of St.
Joseph’s Convent, Ms. Faika Fikree and Mrs. Gulnaz Mondegarian. The
programme was divided into 3 groups. The first group A comprised of
Class I and II children. The first prize in this group went to Ruhab
Iqbal, second prize went to Muhammad Meeran and 3rd went to Amman
Munawar. The second group, group B, comprised of class 3 and 4
students. The first prize in this group went to Syed Ahmed Ali. The
second went to M. Taha Waseem and 3rd went to Ashish Jumani. The
last group was group ‘C’, students of class V competing for the
coverted of Naoroji Ratanji Wadia Shield. In this group the 3rd
prize went to Hassan Munnawar of Class V B. 2nd prize was shared by
Hassan Fareed of Class V A and Ammar Mansoor of class V A and the
shield holder was Farjad-ur-Rehman of class V A. Overall house that
was the winner was Rezashah with 15 points. 2nd position went to
Lancelot with 13 points. 3rd was Quaid-e-Azam House with 10 points.
Great enthusiasm was shown by the student audience

Mrs.
Mondegarian expressed her thoughts on this function in a very
pleasant manner. The Principal, Mrs. Parakh also enjoyed and praised
the whole student council for their hard work and dedication. In her
vote of thanks she expressed her gratitude to the judges for
sharing their precious time with the school and coming to judge the
function. The function ended with a group picture of all
participants with the judges.
