Information
Technology Whiz Kid Quiz Competition - sponsored by Intel was
held in Karachi recently. Schools from all over Karachi participated
in this competition. Students between 12 and 15 were quizzed on
their general knowledge on Information Technology. Fifteen students
out of 150 made it to the final, to compete for the crown. The
fifteen contestants went through three challenging rounds of questions.
Muhammad
Junaid Ahmed from the B.V.S. Parsi High School was dominant throughout
the competition and lead with 55 points from the closest second.
Junaid
was crowned "IT Whiz Kid for 2003-2004" by Kamil Hassan
Intel Country Manager, Pakistan. He was also awarded an Intel
Pentium 4, processor based PC with Hyper Threading technology.
The second position went to City School and the third to Mama
Parsi High school.
B.V.S.
Parsi High School has an extensive computer-training program that
starts from Class 2. We are very proud of Junaid who is also the
Head Prefect for the school and we thank him and his teachers
for bringing this honor to the school.
