PRIZE DISTRIBUTION 2006
The annual Prize Distribution was held in the school premises on Sunday 12th November, 2006 at 4:30 p.m. Dr Kershaw Khambatta, an Ex. Virbaijeeite and graduate of 1941 was the Chief Guest. A smart guard of honour was given to him by the school scout who also escorted him to the stage. 200 students were given prizes for academic excellence. Shields, Trophies and Medals were awarded to the meritorious position holders. The highlight of the day was the hilarious address of the chief guest which lightened the event. However, he did emphasis the fact that education entails development of character and of the mind. He advised students to strive for excellence and take pride in their country - Pakistan. While concluding he quoted the great Chinese philosopher and teacher Confucius: “It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness”.
In the end the COCK- HOUSE was announced. Soparivala House got the maximum points. The past House-Captain Saad Nizami and the present House-Captain Uzair Kalu accepted the Trophy on behalf of all the students in the Soparivala House. |
